Boya Zhang

President

Boya Zhang is a grade 11 student at Port Moody Secondary and is delighted to be introducing his organization, GardenBank. From watering his lawn early in the morning in order to comply with municipal watering regulations to trimming his tomato plants late into the evening, gardening is more than just a pastime for Boya- it is an invaluable passion that defines who he is. When not maintaining his backyard vegetable farm, he can be found participating in math competitions or casually browsing the live seafood section at T&T. Through GardenBank, Boya hopes to inspire more youth to take on and practice sustainable gardening.

Jason Yang

Chief Executive Officer

Jason Yang is a senior at Pacific Academy and is thrilled to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of Gardenbank. Jason is easy to find, often stressing at the library over his IB scores. Whenever he digs his way out of his pile of homework, Jason likes to take marathon-like walks to relax. Jason joined Gardenbank to further engage himself both locally and globally, with ambitions to build Gardenbank into an efficient, structured organization.

Christina Xie

Vice President

Christina Xie is a junior in the IB Programme at Port Moody Secondary School. When not memorizing French verb conjugations, she can be found doing rhythmic gymnastics, attending MUN conferences, and feverishly reading articles about the state of the environment (only to be left with elevated levels of climate anxiety). Christina is elated to serve as a Vice President of GardenBank and is looking forward to fostering change and promoting sustainability within her community.

Mei Chen Jin

Vice President

Mei Chen Jin is a senior currently studying at North Surrey Secondary school who is ecstatic to serve as a Vice President of GardenBank. Ever since hearing about the devastating news on the environment, she is determined to make a difference in the world through sustainable practices and GardenBank. When not stressing over exams, she can be found binge eating at local sushi restaurants, taking an unhealthy number of naps, or adding new additions to her stupendous collection of sneakers!

Tate Liu

Chief Of Staff

Tate Liu is a senior at Pacific Academy and is delighted to serve as the chief of staff for GardenBank. Having volunteered in various Non-profits since 9th grade, Tate sees GardenBank as an opportunity to develop a sustainable community. In his free time, Tate can be seen putting a great amount of effort in developing his musical talent and sports skills. Tate looks forward to engaging members of the community in support of not only GardenBank but ultimately, the environment.

Isabel Bae

Director of outreach

A senior at North Surrey Secondary, Isabel Bae is GardenBank's Director of Outreach. Not only is she involved in Model UN and business case competitions, she is also a member of the student council. You may see her running at the gym or rollerblading, but in truth she often cheats her diet by feeding her insatiable craving for snacks while binging Korean dramas. GardenBank is a continuation of her efforts to beautify the planet, originating from contributions to her local environment.

Jerry Zhu

Director of Logistics

Jerry Zhu is a Grade 12 IB student at Semiahmoo Secondary, and serves as the Director of Logistics at Gardenbank. He is an active overthinker of all, including his university application, and whether to bus or walk home. Besides living for badminton and ramen, Jerry tends to sleep for 12 hours after studying. Jerry sees his position in Gardenbank as an active role within the community. Alternatively, he wants to provide a better environment for the adorable monsters called pandas.

Camille Pureza

Director of Marketing

A junior in the AP program at Centennial Secondary School, Camille Pureza is honoured to serve as GardenBank's Director of Marketing! To alleviate herself from her hard work at school, Camille regularly resorts to singing her heart out and playing nostalgic games with friends; however, her best therapy is relishing a variety of scrumptious foods. Working with GardenBank's team of passionate youth, Camille seeks to spread GardenBank’s mission to communities all over the Lower Mainland.

Joshua Hsu

Director of Media

Joshua Hsu is a grade 11 student attending Centennial Secondary School, and is delighted to be serving GardenBank as the Director of Media. Joshua can often be found in the comfort of his room, playing games with friends, chipping away at his school work, or questioning the very meaning of existence. Joshua joined GardenBank with the aim of contributing to a variety of communities in a positive manner, while making new friends along the way.

Marissa Yu

Associate of Finance

Marissa Yu is in her grade 11 year at Centennial Secondary and is eager to serve as the Associate of Finance for GardenBank. Interested in giving back to the community, she hopes her role will help struggling families while promoting sustainability. When she isn’t re-watching the entire MCU, Marissa likes to occasionally play piano, take a crack at learning Mandarin, or attempt to sleep before 2AM. Marissa also regularly volunteers for the non-profit arts centre Place Des Arts.

Yeira Wong

associate of Logistics

Yeira is going into grade 10 at Burnaby Mountain Secondary School. She has a passion for the sciences, philosophy and nature and is excited be the Associate of Logistics. She enjoys spending time sitting outside daydreaming, and simply appreciating the smell of the air. She also loves to read, write, and draw, as well as spending time with her friends and family. She hopes to keep learning and being inspired as well as teaching and motivating others.

Ting Fei

Associate of outreach

Ting Fei is a senior at Pacific Academy who is elated to have the opportunity to serve as the Associate of External Relations for GardenBank. Ting can often be found at local libraries or cafes stressing out over the copious amounts of IB homework she has yet to do. In her occasional moments of free time, she enjoys observing the beauty of nature and taking walks to relax. Ting has always been captivated by the beauty of the environment and is eager to pursue her passion by striving to improve the earth through GardenBank.

Grace Feng

Grace is an indolent yet adroit senior at North Surrey Secondary who is exceptionally delighted to serve as the Associate of Marketing for GardenBank. Beyond sedulous involvement in the momentous organization, Grace can be found roaming the vast world of alimentary, quaffing impetuous amounts of bubble tea, or descending into fantastical reveries. Earth never ceases to inspire Grace, and science is her confidant; despite the current dilapidation of the planet, Grace endeavors to help the environment!

Damon Langford

Associate of Media

Damon Langford is a Grade 12 student at Pacific Academy. Damon has been making videos and taking photos for as long as he can remember. He is proud to be using his skills to promote GardenBank Conservative Society’s  initiatives. Having seen the effects of poor nutrition firsthand after volunteering in underdeveloped countries, and even in his own city, Damon decided he wanted to make a difference. In his free time, Damon likes to listen to music, enjoy time with friends and his family. Damon hopes that his work with GardenBank will make even the slightest positive difference towards the health of the people and our planet.
